Hi Chris

I have just purchased the LE to HD1 upgrade from Digi. waiting to recieve from UPS. Do you know if I can install the hd software when I already have Le installed? I have a PC w/ win XP.
Also do you have any tutorials planned for HD8?

Thanks, Tony

Tony ~ If you install LE and HD on separate boot drives or different start-up / system partitions you should be fine.

I’m not planning tutorial specific to HD8 at the moment. However, if there are enough requests for it I’d be into it for sure!

Hi Chris,
I have purchased an M Box 2 with PT LE 7. Im looking to use it for voiceover work alone.
I was looking forward to seeing your Quick Start Guide but having downloaded…its just a bunch of computer language jibberish.
Your thoughts?

9 Chris Bryant November 25, 2009 at 11:30 pm

Craig ~ Thank you for letting me know that. It seems that some people on Windows with an older version of Adobe Reader (pre-version 9) have reported the same problem. It is really important to me that it work for you. Are you able to get t he lastest version of Adobe Reader? Feel free to email me the specifics using the contact page. If there’s a way I can solve the problem I will. Thanks again.

Hey Chris,

I just got an older version of Pro Tools (6.1) with the 6.4 updates which I haven’t installed quite yet. Is this download still going to be useful to me with this version?

11 Chris Bryant January 12, 2010 at 10:23 am

Joel ~ I’ve received feedback from people who are using 6.x and 7.x who were thankful they got the guide. Allot of core level Pro Tools features have not really changed that much since the beginning: modes, tools, and DAW concepts covered in the book will apply no matter what version you use.

However, the tutorial sessions are for Pro Tools 8 and will not load into earlier Pro Tools versions.

Sounds good. I’ll most likely give it a whirl. Thanks Chris!
